Yensid is a writer by day, reader by night, runner on weekends, and a superhero in her daydreams.

As her handle suggests, she’s writer with an interest in all things Disney. (yensid is Disney spelled backwards.)

She refer to her obsessions as "stalking the mouse." Her work –  which includes material on Disney theme parks, films, and Disney history – has been published in both popular and academic presses. She’s most excited when writing about Disney travel & helping others enjoy “the happiest place on earth.”

Yensid’s professional and personal lives overlap, something for which she’s grateful. When not writing, Yensid indulges in her interests in animation and theme parks. Given her fascination with all Disney, Yensid frequently travels to Walt Disney World and Disneyland when “on vacation.”

She’s a card-carrying charter member of D23, an Annual Passholder, and knows how to make Dole Whip at home. Not only can Yensid spell “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious,” she can say it backwards. She credits that abililty to her time working for Disney as a college student, oh, about a lifetime ago.

When she retires, Yensid’s plans are to relocate to Orlando and become the cast member responsible for scraping gum off surfaces. She’s always been impressed with Disney’s eye for detail, and would like to do her part.

In her spare time, Yensid also enjoys traveling to non-theme park destinations, vegetarian dining, and running. And she watches movies, lots and lots of movies. She’s never met a genre she didn’t like, although she’s particularly fond of animation (naturally), film noir, science fiction, horror, and black comedy.
